Marfa and Big Bend Engagement Session: Emily and Kevin
One of the best things about being a wedding photographer is how much more exciting it is when your friends get married. It's like YES! I have SO MUCH information to share with you, information that no one really cares about until they get married T_T. Okay back to Emily and Kevin, who are awesome.
Kevin's from California. Emily's from South Texas. They had a forbidden love. Okay, they were coworkers. I remember when Kevin told us he had a girlfriend. We were like WHA?? A few weeks at your new job and you have a girlfriend?? Nice.
I told Emily about this conversation a lot later and it turns out that this conversation took place in the very early stages of them dating, and discussions of monogamy had yet to take place. Oops, I guess he already knew.
The thing with Emily and Kevin is that throughout their relationship, they just... always were. When they talked about getting married, no one was like OH MY GAH!! YOU'RE GOING TO GET MARRIED?! Living together, getting engaged, getting married. It wasn't next steps for them. These things were just simple formalities to something that they were already a part of.
I could not have found better people to do this Marfa and Big Bend engagement session with. They are the best adventurers so it only made sense that we would do a 7 hour drive to the middle of nowhere to play with the desert sunset and obscure art, all within four days.
Congratulations to Emily and Kevin. I'm so happy for you guys T_T.
