Hello 2016! Favorite Family Photos from 2015

Happy 2016! I ended the year with a ton of family photos for the holidays. It was kind of crazy. I wanted to list my favorites, which are always a little odd :P. It's never the "picture perfect" ones that I remember.

The idea to toss flower petals goes to the girls' actually. They had been sneakily collecting flower petals and then shyly asked me if I would take a picture of them throwing it. How cute are they???

I love, love this one. She can't actually walk yet but she likes to pretend that she can! That moment of hesitation was adorable. She can run if you just help her stand up :P.

I found a stick and it makes me happy! :P He was so cute. And so good!

I'll be photographing their wedding in a few weeks. They are SO cute. This little guy was insanely photogenic and such a little gentlemen! He'll be his father's best man T_T. I'm going to cry during their wedding I know it.

He was SO camera shy but he warmed up to the idea in the end :P.

I was lucky enough to photograph my cousin and her family in California. They are one of my favorite people in the world, especially the little ones. This picture cracks me up every time I see it. The kids were no longer interested in a family photo so it was only supposed to be their parents. Of course, the little one decides to run around them over and over again instead. But look at his FACE. I love that face!! No idea what he's thinking lol.

I don't know what's happening here lol but I love it. You have photos of everyone looking at the camera, photos of everyone but one person looking at the camera, photos of everyone looking at each other, but never photos of everyone looking behind them :P.

This little girl was so fun. Every word that came out of her mouth had us laughing our butts off.

These two girls are gorgeous, gorgeous! and  dang adventurous. I was so scared they were going to fall into the river (10 minutes into their session).

She is one of 4! She's the youngest and so sweet and innocent, I was pretty much dying the whole session :P.

Ooh I was almost done with a family photo when I heard squealing off the trail. These two just got engaged on top of Mount Bonnell :). Ooh how I love, love capturing these moments, that raw happiness.

This little doggy decided he wanted to be in their family photo too! Nope, that is not their dog.

Loved this father, daughter moment T_T.

This was my only photo session this season where the kids are not... little kids haha. We had so much fun! And no, he did not want his mom and his sister to kiss him on his cheeks.

Father, son moment this time that made me go aww. He had to do a LOT of convincing for him to not run into the water.

Nope, no child this year fell into a river or a pond. Although, I did have a child pee his pants because he was so excited!!!

Looking back on this last year, I am so so grateful for all my clients, my family, my friends who helped me launch Amy Dang Photography. This year was the first year I was in full fledged business and it's been amazing. I made so many mistakes haha but I've learned so much.. about business, people, photography, but mostly myself. I never thought the day would come when people would ask me what I do for a living and I can say "photographer." I have loved every moment of this journey, from documenting those special moments to editing late into the night. Thank you so so much for helping me make this happen.

I can't wait for the rest of 2016. Stay tuned!! www.amydangphotography.com is getting a face lift and more wedding blogs to come :).
